Day 7 – 24 November 2011 – Me and Sports

I love to play sports since young. The 1st sport that I tried will be cycling. From 4 wheels, to 3 and to 2 wheels bicycle. The experience and the process of learning was fun. The feeling of scare to fall down and the joyful feeling when you’re able to cycle is indescribable. The process of learning is fun.

The most ‘fearful’ sports will be roller blading. I just couldn’t slow down nor stop when I blade! Even till now! I still remember the last time I fell down, it hurts badly as I injured my back. However, it’s this feeling that motivated me to conquer roller blading! I’m still learning thou!

The last time I fail badly in a sport is scuba diving. I did bad (didn’t fail but not excel) in the theory exam for my open water course. I almost screwed up my practical open water as I lost my contact lens underwater and couldn’t see much in the water (my eye sight is bad, 800 degree per eye!). End up, I got scratches on my arm and legs because I scratched the coral and rocks underwater. I was kinda depressed and scare of it after my 1st dive trip but after days of thinking, I told myself that I must conquer it! They can do it, so do I!

So I decided to take up Advance Open Water Course at Pulau Redang, Malaysia with Faz. We went there with the instructor and 1 of our dive friend. I got my advance open water cert and I saw my first white tip shark underwater!! Just 10m away from me!! It’s so so so excited and no, white tip shark is friendly =)

After the Advance Open Water trip, I decided to do more trip to improve my scuba diving skill. I took up Nitrox course, Emergency First Response and Rescue Diver Course. My diving skill improved and my instructor was so amazed that I did very well in my theory and practical course. I am so proud of myself that I am able to dive freely and able to dive without guardian of the instructor (of course, it’s not advisable to dive alone!).

As years go by, the type of sports I anticipate changed. From land to underwater, from cycle to paddle. But I don’t have the chance to dive as often due to work and studies. Hence I had decided to go back jogging and cycling after exam ends.

Sports motivated me in my way of life and we should enjoy it while we can!

Day 6 – 22 November 2011 – My working life

My first job after graduate from poly is located at Woodland and I staying at Tampines. The journey to work is similar to the Chinese Monkey God , Sun Wu Kong’s story – Journey To The ‘North’! The travel time from Tampines to Woodland takes about 1 hour 30mins. This job lasted for 3 months, not because of the journey,  it was because I doesn’t like the jobscope at all. I guess when I just graduated from poly, was too eager and rush to get myself into a fulltime job, thus I accepted this job position.

My second job is at a freight forwarding company and stationed at the customer’s office at Loyang as logistics operation officer. It was by far, the most fun job I ever had till today. I was the only female staff in my department, but no, I didn’t receive special treatment like a princess there. In fact, I got bullied most of the time by the guys! Oh well, I guess they need girls to take care them in the office, like getting them chocolates, tissues and nag at their lazy-ness and dirty-ness. And I met my first and only boyfriend at there! He was 1 of my colleague who bullied me (the most!). I left that place because I think I should and I can take up more challenges.

BBQ night with the colleagues!

Colleague's engagement day!

My farewell gift by GAI!

My third job is at a freight forwarding company too but as a customer service officer. The job is hectic and OT is required everyday. It had thus, affected my studies because I am not able to reach school on time. Most of the time I was late for 30mins to 1 and a half hour.

In the office!

My current job, which is my fourth job is at Loyang too as a purchasing officer. The good thing about this job is it starts at 8am and ends at 5pm. No OT required as I am able to finish my job on time before 5pm. The BEST thing of the job is I have 21 days annual leave! Yes, annually!!!! I am able to use the leave for my studies – exam! The job is kinda stress free, managers are understanding and colleagues are helpful and lovely. Most of the managers in my company are Caucasians, thus I get to understand different country’s culture like New Zealand, England and America. The way of working with Caucasians is different with Asian. I had learnt a lot in this company.

Farewell, Our Vice President!

Oh, i sort of have a leisure ‘job’ too, scuba diving!

We just love the sea

My dream job, as the previous post, a wedding/event planner! I had decided to look for this job once I graduate from UniSIM. I believe with my knowledge in purchasing, logistics and planning, I might able to get my dream job pretty soon! *cross finger* At least I try =)

p/s: no video of my work place today as I’m current on leave, studying for my exam. Will be back to work on Thursday. If my work is fine, I might able to steal some time in the office to film a short video!

Day 5 – 21 November 2011 – My hope, & Dreams, concern and priorities

My latest hope (yes, I hope for ALOT of thing!, who doesn’t? =D) is I manage to score well in my degree and get a better job! Better job in term of interesting job scope, lovely colleagues, understanding customers, location of the office is close to my house (I’m a person that lazy to squeeze with thousand of people for public transport and I’m lazy to drive!), good pay (of course!) and a bright future! That’s financially wise, personally will be a happy family and friends!

But my dream is totally different (in term of financially – work). I have 2 dreams. The 1st dream is able to have a private island (mine!) at a superb nice location for scuba diving! The island will be a private island for rent. People who wants to organise event such as wedding ceremony/ celebration, couple holiday, family trip or company trip. A private island that people will be able to enjoy their days with the people they treasure and spend the day and night together.

2nd dream is somehow related to the 1st dream – a wedding planner. I always think that wedding is a very happy and blissful moment. What’s more blissful than being with your loved ones? Helping couples to build up their dream wedding event, sharing the joy of the people just makes me happy. But well, seems like kinda hard to find a wedding planner job in Singapore as I’m not in a marketing or designer line. Maybe my logistics background will be helpful in looking for this job in future?

P/s: if anyone of u do knows of job opening for wedding/ event planner, please do contact me, thank u!  =D

As for my current concern and priorities will be my study, current job, family, friends and sports. Just hope that I could quickly graduate and able to spend more time with them, my loved ones and enjoy doing sports together! <3

Day 4 – 20 November 2011 – Free time

It’s been a while since I have my own free time. The time that i can laze on the bed till I feel the scorching pain that burned by the sunshine, the time I can just call/text up to any of my friends and meet up with him/her at some random place to chill up.

Since young, i don’t have much free time of my own. I had to take up tuition since kindergarten all the way till secondary school O’Level, at least thrice a week. On the weekend, i will need to complete my homework from school and tuition and practise questions from the reference book. Once awhile when I’m ahead of the learning schedule, I will be able to go cycle around my neighbourhood with my siblings and mom and played for few rounds of badminton. I had never, yes, never go out with my friends before before my O’Level ends. Kinda strict family rules, have no choice but to ‘obey’, perhaps was too innocent (naive) that time, oh well. After graduate from poly, entered the working adult life, I am able to visit any places i want, provided i have the money thou!

I love to visit the museum, National Museum of Singapore, Singapore Art Museu and, Asian Civilisation Museum. Admiring those arts, figurines and creativity of the artist.

Special Exhibition - Quest for Immortality – The World of Ancient Egypt @ National Museum of Singapore

Special Exhibition - Terracotta Warriors: The First Emperor and His Legacy (24 Jun 2011 - 16 Oct 2011) @ Special Exhibitions Gallery, ACM Empress Place

Last year, i got the opportunity to take up a module – Art Appreciation at UniSIM, teaches by a tutor from NAFA. This module inspire me in the way of painters paint their work and their contribution to the current art society. I would really love to continue to learn painting in future!

My First Acyclic Painting, copied of Vincent Van Gogh. - Jun. C - The Church at Auvers - November 2010 - Acyclic on canvas

I love to visit the zoo as well! Althought it’s kinda sad to see the animals to be locked in a small area, but maybe it’s better than see them killed by the animal hunters?

White Tiger's ROAR!

now the best free time activity that I would like to have will be scuba diving! Dive with the sea creatures, looking at the marvelous underwater world is just so facinating! Not to forget, the lovely time with the divers too!

During 1 of the dive trip with a bunch of fun-loving divers!

Join me in Scuba diving, love the environment!

Blog post Day 3 – 19 November 2011 – Family and Friends <3

My parent are busy working everyday, my eldest sister is busy working full time and studying part time as well and my youngest brother is busy sitting in front of his pc playing games EVERYDAY without fail! Dad dotes me lots and always will buy yummy food for me! i guess that’s the reason i’m chubby since young till now, haha! mum will be the one that clean up the mess at home. she just doesn’t like the house in a mess! Love you all! <3

Chinese New Year gathering!

Most of the time the person that accompany me will be my boyfriend. He pamper me like a princess, teaches me in study like his student, and we share lots of joys and laughter together. He’s my best companion in studying!

Christmas Eve!

I don’t really have the chance to meet my best friends, Super Faz due to my studies. But glad that technology is advance nowadays, we are able to whatsapp each other often.

Polaroid love!

Blog post Day 2 – 18 November 2011 – A Day in My Life

Usually I’ll wake up around 6.30am every weekday (of course with few times of snooze) to work. My work starts at 8am, ends at 5pm. Consider as a start early, ends early working timing but I’m loving it! Cos I have more times do my personal stuff after work!

Almost everyday me and my colleagues will have packed lunch from the canteen and have it at our pantry. After work, most of the time I will need to continue with my school assignments and prepare for exam.

As for weekend, i’ll be able to Wake up in the afternoon, have my brunch and continue with my assignments and revision. I do take a break on some day and catch a movie or do some shopping thou.

That’s the daily life that I’ve been living in for the past 2 years, and I believe it will be the same for the next 1 year till I graduate. Hard and boring life I know, but I gotta keep remind myself that after this, I’ll be freeeeee!

As for today, I’m on leave to prepare for next week’s paper. Was at home in the day and had dinner with my family in the evening. Met my boyfriend after dinner and I got a surprise from him!!! He bought me 2 slices of cake as my belated birthday celebration! My birthday was on Monday but we only had a simple dinner at 1 of my favourite restaurant and he got me lovely present.

yummy-licious cake from Fruit Paradise to satify my cake craving!

Today, he got me 2 slices of yummy cakes and sang birthday song to me. Thank you! <3

P/s: gotta start revision again after the cake and post =)

Blog post Day 1 – 17 November 2011 – Myself and people I Love <3

Hellooooo! Jun’s here! I’m currently working full time in a marine services company and studying part time at UniSIM. Exam started on Monday, 14 November 2011. Up to date, completed 2 papers out of 4!

Tired and hungry. Bf brought me to our newly favourite dinner place – Istanbul Gourmet at East Point Mall. It’s a small Turkish Cuisine restaurant. The food portion there are generous and most importantly, it’s healthy and full of vegetables! Abit pricy thou but we feel good after having dinner at there. Full but yet, not too sleepy to continue our revision after dinner. Another reason will be that is 1 of the place bf will eat vegetables. He’s a meat lover and hate vegetables. Or you can say it in another way, he hates meats and loves vegetables. That’s why he eats meat and trying to protect the vegetables. Lol. So yeah, at least it’s a healthy meal =)

Beef bomb! at Istanbul Gourmet. It’s just a beef ball stuffed with boiled egg and the rest are mixed vegetables and potatoes.

Life been hard ever since I decided to pursue my study at UniSIM. Not able to keep in touch with most of my friends and lost the time to do sport – jogging. Most of the time after work, gotta rush for endless of quizzes and assignments. I’m grateful that my family is always do supportive and understanding. Not to forget my friends who are always around me when I need them. Bf has been a good study partner and lover. I guess 1 of the main reason that got us together is we studying at the same school, same course ad we used to work together too! Thanks for being around with me thru out my life at UniSIM!

Not forget to mention, I missed scuba dive with my best best best dive buddy – Super Faz! Let’s get wet under the sea soon babe! And we will swim with the lovely turtles!
